The Whole Enchilada

1st Annual Historical Canyon Road Festival

For those of you who were out and about this past Saturday, October 18 on Canyon Road, you witnessed the 1st annual Historical Canyon Road Festival. We had more than 50 artists out painting on the street, in the gardens and even on the porches. It was a wonderful opportunity to watch artists work and even visit with them about the art. Many of the artists were rewarded by selling the art to observers. The highlight of the day was the fabulous weather that made it such a joy to be out. In addition, there is a competition for the artists sponsored by the Santa Fean. Watch on Santafean.com and in the magazine pages for the announcement of the winners. All submissions, and there are already alot of them, are due Oct. 25.

We look forward to making this an annual event. More info for the future can be found at www.historiccanyonroad.com.
A final note here, is to encourage you to visit the new art gallery at the new Santa Fe Community Convention Center. It has just opened and attempt to capture some of the best local artists and present their work in one place. Be sure to savor this fascinating concept in an art gallery.

Dear Bruce,
When will the paintings from the Historic Canyon Road Paint out be on The Santa Fean Website?
